An elven spy moves hurriedly through the empty alleyway. Gas lamps dot the walls, but she carefully avoids them, circumventing their glow to keep her presence hidden. As she reaches the other end of the passage the elf breathes a sigh of relief, believing that she has avoided detection. But even her keen eyes did not notice the small white face hanging from the archway above her… until it’s too late.
We've hit our $225K Goal, adding the Cassaco species to Skullduggery! Cassaco are short, bipedal creatures that resemble opossums, with rounded ears, prehensile tails, and a long flat snout. They have wiry fur that covers everything except their ears and tail. Cassaco are naturally nocturnal but can adjust to a diurnal clock if they choose.
While small in stature, Cassaco pride themselves on being the ultimate survivors, using stealth, resilience, and the ability to instantly adopt a state indistinguishable from death to avoid threats posed by the larger creatures around them.

Revere the dead and act as their champion.
Oath of the Dead Paladin Subclass Unlocked!
Paladins who take the Oath of the Dead act as champions to protect the spirits of the dead, and to help restless spirits finally find peace. They strive to lay to rest mournful spirits who have unfulfilled purpose in this world so they can pass to the next, and to destroy baleful and destructive spirits and undead whose wickedness drives them to linger. Some restless spirits recognize the paladin as a champion of the dead and linger to aid them in their quests.
Here is an example of one of the Paladin’s subclass abilities.
Striking Spirit. Each time you use your Channel Divinity, you also call forth a spirit to fight with you. Once, on your turn, when you strike a creature with a weapon attack as part of your attack action, this spirit will appear and also strike the same creature, adding 1d8 Radiant damage to your damage. The spirit lingers for one hour, adding to your damage, before it passes back to the realm of the dead.
